Haze Performance is proud to offer our new line of Stainless Steel Bellows! Our Bellows are multi-ply designs, allowing for less axial stiffness than a single-ply Bellow while still retaining the strength of a single-ply bellow. This will enable you to have more flexibility with your custom-built parts!

Why 316L for your Stainless Steel Bellows

1. Corrosion Resistance: 316L contains 2-3% molybdenum, which gives it superior resistance to chloride-induced pitting and crevice corrosion compared to 304, especially in environments exposed to salts, seawater, or chlorides.
2. Lower Carbon Content: 316L is the low-carbon version of 316, meaning it has less than 0.03% carbon. This lower carbon content minimizes the risk of carbon precipitation during welding, which can lead to intergranular corrosion (also called weld decay).
3. Heat Resistance: Both 316L and 304 offer good oxidation resistance, but 316L performs slightly better in high-temperature environments, especially when chloride-containing solutions or gases are present.
